My greatest goal in life is not to have a lot of money or have a wonderful job. No my number one goal that I hope to accomplish more than anything else is to travel around the world. Stay in places for more than a week. Be able to speak the language at least kinda well by the time I leave and have a lot of fun while doing it.

This would be something fun to do when I get to this chapter of my life. (take pictures everywhere we go) :)

Almost done with School/Photo challenge

Two weeks left of school. Pretty nervous! But I am also going to take a photo a day for a year plus some because I couldn't wait till the new year :) To go see these pictures go to my facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/gisellecolonphotography) and like it. It would mean the world to me now that I'm starting to get serious about my photography.

I'm going to start posting more. For sure once school is done. I've just been so busy with school work and I made new friends! Well have a wonderful December :)

Editing Photos

Well I've now done my first family photo shoot and am very happy with the results. They came out really well and the mom begged me to look at the photos before I even edited and she was super happy with them :) It's getting to the end of the year and finals are coming up. Pretty scary but still I'm ready for next semester. Here are some photos from my first photo shoot.

Nikon D5100

So I'm trying to figure out what lens to buy for my camera. The only lens I have right now is the 18-55mm. I'm thinking of getting a 50mm cause it's on the cheaper end of lenses and I've heard good things. Any suggestions?

Ah the leaves are changing color and it is so pretty outside. Tomorrow going to take test shots down in Bricktown (OKC, OK) before the photo shoot on Saturday :)

What's Up?

So my posting on here has been at an absolute minimum. Last week I had three tests and this week I have two. School is getting close to being over and I'm super nervous. Looks like I pull out this semester with four B's and a C. Not ideal but oh well.

This weekend I'm going to be doing a photo shoot and on Tuesday I'm going to go down with my man and figure out where I want to take the girls. Also probably take some test shots :) I'm pretty excited cause this is my first photo shoot ever and I think it will help me a lot with figuring out my style and what I need to work on. I think I might even go out today and take some shots. It's so pretty outside with all the leaves changing.

Sorry for not posting much this week. It's been crazy. Had my birthday and then I'm working a lot babysitting for a missions conference at my church and that along with my homework and classes... It's just been very busy. What I will try to get done this week is a recipe for some halloween themed treat. Haven't decided which one yet. And I think I'll be doing a process of drawing that I use tutorial. That's all I can promise because later this week I have a pumkin carving party, photo shoot, halloween parade and family bday party and also along with homework and classes. Thanks for sticking around and being patient :)

Ah the lovely rain

It's raining here in Edmond, OK so I took the time to go out and try and get some long exposure shots. They came out pretty well. Today has been a good day. I had Health class where I now have to figure out how well I eat (I can already tell you it isn't well, hopefully I'll be more conscious now though since I'm using the choosemyplate.gov) then Discrete Structures where we just went over the test we took Monday. And finally got to spend some relaxing picture taking time with my man. It was much needed after how busy this week has been. Then I went to my other class Programming II and when I got back to my car I found a note (below) and he gave me some flowers a little later. I'm so lucky and happy. I hope I sleep well tonight. How was your day? Good night.

I love Fall

Fall is my favorite season for many reason. My birthday, cool weather, pumpkin carving and jumping in the leaves. I love being able to go outside and not sweat and then to be able to make art with pumpkins. This weekend I have so much homework but I really really want to draw. I love doing photography but I want to use my charcoals to make awesome art. I just felt like letting out emotions of how happy I am. =D

Things I've been doing recently.

I've been taking lots of photos with all my mode settings (As you all should be doing too if you are following my Camera Tutorial Homework), watching Season 3 of Avatar (I'm so hooked), knitting all kinds of fun things, and reading the Harry Potter series. Right now I'm on book 4. I've also been doing a whole lot of school work (I'm in college studying Computer Science with a minor in Art) but I was very happy when i did my second programming assignment really quick so now I have more free time than expected.

The state fair is here in Oklahoma this week and me and my boy are going to go and have some fun. I've never been so I'm pretty excited even though everyone I've talked to says it's boring. I have high hopes.

I've been trying to think of an easy way to make a book shelf cause I'm in desperate need of one. Any ideas?
